Ostrich Goulash



  • 500grams cubed Ostrich /Beef
  • 250grams sliced Mushrooms
  • 1 Large pepper / 3/4 small peppers
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic
  • 3 Sticks of Celery
  • 5 Courgettes, sliced
  • 1 Handful Fresh parsley
  • Tomato paste
  • Tin Tomatoes


  • In a large pan fry the garlic, onion, peppers until soft
  • Add the mushroomsm courgettes and chopped celery
  • Cook until starting to soften and remove from the pan into an over proof dish
  • Add the meat in batches and brown
  • Place the browned meat into the oven proof dish
  • Add the Parsely,  tomatoes and tomato paste and mix until combined.
  • Cover and bake for an hour on low. Or cook in a slow cooker.
