Slow Cookers not just for Winter!
Another simple recipe great for busy people.
2 chickens placed into the slow cooker. Lemon Juice, or fresh lemon poured over, add herbs of your choice and leave on low for a couple of hours. The chicken releases enough moisture when they cook so you don’t need to add any liquid to the slow cooker.
The chicken falls off the bone. I take all of the meat out of the slow cooker and place the left overs in a box in a fridge ( i cook 2 chickens so that i have enough for supper and lunches in the week) You can keep the stock if you are making a soup in winter,
