Tuna cakes

Hi, I made this for the first time this week. They are simple to make and also cheap to make.


1 can drained tuna

1 egg


1 Spoon crushed garlic

1 Chilli

2 Spring onions

Lemon Juice

Ghee to fry

I used Coconut flour to bind, but you don’t need to as it was dry enough.

Mix the egg in a bowl with dried herbs ( and chilli flakes if you don’t have fresh chilli) and a spoon or so of lemon Juice. Fresh would be nicer, with some rind finely grated.

Combine the tuna to the egg mixture.

Slice chillis and Onions and fry on a low heat until soft, with a spoon of garlic.

Add Chilli mix to Tuna mix.

Shape into balls or small patties and fry in Ghee, I used a medium to High heat and turned once. Don’t fuss over them as they will break.

I ate some leftovers broken up into a salad and it was delicious!
